Biography

Karen Beriss’ dry wit and sense of humor is brought to life through her jaw-dropping magic. Her ability to communicate and entertain has captured the eyes of the press including Marketplace, National Public Radio, Washingtonian Magazine and The Wall Street Journal. She has performed for celebrities such as Johnny Depp, Kirstie Alley, Tom Daschle, John Kerry and Robert Goulet. Most recently she appeared with Leon Redbone at the Birchmere in Virginia.

Karen is currently performing as a part of the Big Apple Circus Clown Care Program at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland, and Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. She co-produces Clown Cabaret, the only regularly occurring clown production in Washington, D.C. – showcasing the real clowns of D.C. Karen was featured in the award-winning Cabaret CooCoo at the Capital Fringe Festival. Her acting and improv training with Second City have combined to make her a skilled and funny performer.
