Clipper City Brass Quintet



Biography

Known for their artistry and adventurous programming, the Clipper City Brass is comprised of five virtuoso brass players who have performed with some of Americas most esteemed orchestras. Although CCBQ regularly performs masterworks of the brass quintet repertoire, the ensemble also enjoys arrangements of popular song, jazz, dixieland, to name a few styles. CCBQ performs recitals throughout the mid-Atlantic region as well as a variety of services and ceremonies. Clipper City has performed as featured artists of numerous concert series such as the Garret Lakes Arts Festival in Deep Creek Maryland, Trinity Concert Series in Watertown New York, and Sundays at Central in Towson Maryland. The quintet has also performed as concerto soloists with the Peabody Wind Ensemble under the direction of Harlan Parker. In addition to performing, each member of CCBQ is passionate about music education, maintaining private teaching studios and faculty positions throughout the region. Clipper City has performed educational clinics for children of all ages from fifth grade through high school and is committed to teaching and educating students about brass playing, performance techniques, and most importantly music.
