Kelly Carnes

Kelly was dragged to her first yoga class in January of 2013 by a friend attempting to fulfill a new year's resolution. An addiction was born. Three years later to the day, she was meditating to the sound of the ocean on a beach in Goa, India, training to become a certified instructor so she could share the gift of yoga with others.  The beautiful practice forever changed her perspective, motivating her to move beyond the burnout lifestyle that is endemic to DC, and as a "recovering publicist" get back to breathing. She feels the most fulfilled when she can break down perceived barriers keeping her students from trying something new, and when she can guide them to better balance mind body wellness with their 9 to 5's.
