Biography

Gordon Hawkins is critically acclaimed throughout the world for his in-depth interpretations and lush baritone voice.  This season, he performs the role of Scarpia in Tosca with Cincinnati Opera, Tonio in Pagliacci with Arizona Musicfest, and the title role in Rigoletto with Deutsche Oper am Rhein. In future seasons, Mr. Hawkins returns to Washington National Opera, Arizona Opera, and Seattle Opera. With an impressive number of title roles under his belt, some of his lead roles include the title role of Nabucco and Macbeth, Count di Luna in Il trovatore, Scarpia in Tosca, Amonasro in Aïda, and many more.
