For the past 50 years, the Chicago-based Joffrey Ballet has delighted and astonished world audiences with its "breathless fluidity" (Los Angeles Times). Thanksgiving week, the Joffrey Ballet returns to the Kennedy Center to perform Robert Joffrey's "dazzling" (Chicago Sun-Times) family production of The Nutcracker, featuring charming Victorian scenery and costumes, Gerald Arpino's thrilling waltzes for the Snowflakes and Flowers, dozens of dancing and singing children, and the incomparable Joffrey dancers. Whether you're six or ninety-six, you're sure to cherish Tchaikovsky's enchanting masterpiece, an annual Kennedy Center tradition.
