Choreography by Artistic Director Erik Kaiel
Balance. Communication. Cooperation. This is what dance is all about, and no one shows it off quite like the Arch8 company from the Netherlands! Audiences of all ages will enjoy this thrilling combination of two of Artistic Director Erik Kaiel's most impressive, gravity-defying works. First up is No Man Is an Island, which pushes the limits of possibility as one dancer climbs, stretches, and shifts his weight atop another without ever touching the ground. Then it's Tetris, an extremely physical piece for four dancers who flip, slide, undulate, leapfrog, and tumble over each other--arms and legs high in the air and twisted around each other to create single unified forms out of their individual bodies. If you've ever been a kid who can't sit still--who wants to hurdle over furniture and scale the walls--the cool permutations of TETRISplus are for you!
For age 7 and up.
Performance Timing: 55 minutes, with no intermission.
