An accomplished arranger and conductor, as well as a virtuoso
jazz and classical pianist, French composer Michel Legrand has
won three Oscars, five Grammys, and an Emmy nomination.
Legrand, who packs “more heart into [his] interpretations than
most performers half [his] age” (The New York Times), is
appearing with vocalist Patti Austin, who “brings a seamless
blend of cool professionalism and impassioned smoky-voiced
commitment to ballads that surge with an extravagant
romanticism” (The New York Times) and the Kennedy Center All-Star Big Band.
Part of the Kennedy Center-wide Festival of France.
