A Jazz New Year's Eve
Dear Mr. Sinatra
Ring in the New Year in style with a sizzling jazz performance by John Pizzarelli, one of the most celebrated performers bringing popular standards to a new generation, with his band in a salute to Ol' Blue Eyes in Dear Mr. Sinatra. The jazz guitarist, vocalist, and bandleader, who opened for the Chairman of the Board on one of his final tours in the 1990s, performs such favorites as "The Lady is a Tramp," "I've Got You Under My Skin," and "The Way You Look Tonight," as well as some lesser-known tunes from the Sinatra songbook.
Patrons are then invited to the Grand Foyer Party. Welcome 2010 with waltzing to music performed by the Salon Orchestra of Washington and swing dancing to music by Full Swing in the Grand Foyer from 11 p.m. until 1 a.m. There's a big balloon and confetti countdown at midnight. Free for all patrons with any December 31 evening performance ticket or Roof Terrace Restaurant receipt from that evening.
