Acclaimed as a pianist of "consummate artistry" (The Washington Post), Yael Weiss has performed around the world and been characterized as "remarkably powerful and intense... fine technique and musicianship in the service of an arresting array of music" (The New York Times). Hailed for gripping performances of "ever-increasing lyrical intensity" (The Strad), violinist Mark Kaplan plays the 1685 Stradivari named "The Marquis" after the Marchese Spinola, whose family owned the violin for several generations. First prize winner of the 2001 Walter W. Naumburg International Competition and recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2004, cellist Clancy Newman's "technical mastery [has] proved entirely dazzling" (San Francisco Chronicle).
