Panamanian Danilo Pérez, a pianist who recalls both Dizzy and Monk, has played with jazz greats Joe Lovano, Tito Puente, and Wynton Marsalis. A jazz great himself, Pérez returns to the Kennedy Center with his trio.

Panamanian pianist Danilo Pérez, who recalls both Dizzy and Monk (playing with Dizzy and was in the Monk Piano Competition), has played with jazz greats Wayne Shorter, Tito Puente, and Wynton Marsalis. Following his star turn at last season's Jazz on the Elevens: A Tribute to Billy Taylor, Pérez returns to the Kennedy Center for his first appearance with his own trio, featuring bassist Ben Street and drummer Adam Cruz.
