We regret to announce that Marc-André Hamelin is unable to perform due to injury. The Kennedy Center welcomes clarinetist Anthony McGill to perform with the Pacifica Quartet.

Fresh and daring, the Pacifica Quartet performs strikingly personal interpretations of classical and contemporary composers with "remarkable unanimity of vibrato, attack, and volume" (The New York Times). This inventive group makes its Fortas debut with Shostakovich's String Quartet No. 7 and is joined by clarinetist Anthony McGill, who was just named principal clarinet of the New York Philharmonic, in performances of clarinet quintets by Mozart and Brahms.
