About

The Kennedy Center pumps up the jazz club experience with its performance space housed in the Center's Atrium. The Crossroads Club (formerly Supersized Jazz Club) features expansive standing room (only), a dance floor, and high-top tables, with drinks available for purchase.

Grammy-winning hip-hop jazz pianist Robert Glasper brings his spontaneous spirit of adventure and experimentation to the Kennedy Center. A recording artist with Blue Note Records since 2003, Glasper has collaborated with musicians ranging from Erykah Badu to Mos Def. Glasper brings his band, which boldly stakes out new musical territory and transcends any notion of genre, drawing from jazz, hip-hop, R&B, and rock, but refuses to be pinned down by any one tag.

Blue Note at 75 Celebration
The Kennedy Center celebrates the 75th anniversary of Blue Note Records, the Finest in Jazz Since 1939, with some of the iconic label's most notable musicians in this jazz extravaganza featuring a week of mainstage concerts as well as some of its newest artists in free Millennium Stage performances. Related lectures, film screenings, photo exhibits, and more will be held at other locations in Washington, D.C., in collaborative events hosted by the Library of Congress, the Goethe-Institut, and the German Historical Institute (full schedule to be announced at a later date).
