The Kennedy Center marks the centennial of the birth of Billie Holiday with Grammy winner Cassandra Wilson singing selections from her newest recording (release date scheduled for April 2015) highlighting the artistry of Ms. Holiday, one of music's most iconic figures. Wilson will showcase her blues, country, and folk-tinged delivery, returning to the Eisenhower Theater with her full ensemble for the first time in 11 years. Of her talents, the New York Times beams, "the earthy majesty of her voice….[is] rich and supple."
