Grammy-winning opera, concert hall, and recital superstar Joyce DiDonato possesses a voice that is "nothing less than 24-carat gold," raves the Times of London. Making her eagerly awaited Fortas debut, she kicks off the new chamber music season with the Brentano String Quartet, the Yale School of Music's acclaimed Quartet-In-Residence, fresh from its impressive 2015 Fortas debut. The program includes songs by Richard Strauss and a dramatic song cycle based on the inspiring work and tragic life of French sculptor Camille Claudel, created especially for DiDonato by renowned American composer Jake Heggie.
