Two of the Kennedy Center's dynamic artistic partners, DJ and rapper Q-Tip and jazz pianist and composer Jason Moran, explore contemporary sounds at the crossroads of their respective genres in this one-night only collaborative concert.

Renowned pianist and composer Jason Moran shares the stage with rapper, DJ, and producer Kamaal Ibn John Fareed aka Q-Tip, who has joined the Kennedy Center as Artistic Director for Hip Hop Culture. In their first-ever musical collaboration, the two artists explore contemporary sounds at the crossroads of their respective genres. Q-Tip is a founding member of A Tribe Called Quest, a pioneering group in Hip Hop history. Part of JFKC: A Centennial Celebration of John F. Kennedy.

Performance Timing: Approximately 75 minutes, with no intermission.
