Four leading pianists join Philip Glass, in his eagerly awaited Kennedy Center debut, to perform his 20 Etudes. The 80-year-old American master composer is one of five pianists in this unprecedented performance, to also include Kennedy Center Artistic Director of Jazz and MacArthur Fellow Jason Moran along with Aaron Diehl, Devonté Hynes, and Jenny Lin. Each pianist will perform four of the 20 etudes, bringing a fresh and personal perspective to the work that Glass composed over a 20-year period, and considers something of a self-portrait.

Performance Timing: Approximately 2 hours, including one intermission.
