Benjamin Beilman made his D.C. debut at the Kennedy Center in a 2012 Young Concert Artists Series recital, and has since solidified his status as a preeminent musician of his generation. This charismatic young violinist has been praised for his “handsome technique, burnished sound, and quiet confidence” (The New York Times). Pianist Orion Weiss, featured in another Fortas recital earlier in March, returns to join Beilman for a new piece by prolific composer Frederic Rzewski, specially composed for Beilman.
