About

Tony Award winner Jennifer Holliday performs with the National Symphony Orchestra Pops in Jennifer Holliday in Concert.  Principal Pops Conductor Marvin Hamlisch conducts the program which includes such Dreamgirls hits as "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" and "Changing," along with other audience favorites.

Possessing one of the biggest and most powerful soul voices of the last quarter century, Jennifer Holliday received a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role as Effie in the original Broadway production of Dreamgirls.  It was this tragic and triumphant role and her show-stopping performance of the ballad "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" that made her a star.  Ms. Holliday's other stage credits include performances in the Broadway revivals of Chicago, Grease, and Your Arms Too Short to Box With God, and the national tour of Sing, Mahalia, Sing.  Her albums include Feel My Soul (produced by Earth, Wind & Fire leader Maurice White), Say You Love Me, Get Close to My Love, I'm On Your Side, and the Gospel album On & On.

Note: This program was previously titled Loesser and More....
