Together, Broadway legends Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II helped bring emotional music and meaningful lyrics to the musicals that lined the Great White Way. South Pacific, The Sound of Music, The King and I, Oklahoma!, and Carousel helped define a new era in the American theater experience. Now, the NSO Pops led by Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke is joined by three-time Tony nominee Rebecca Luker (Mary Poppins), Drama Desk–nominated Aaron Lazar (A Little Night Music), two-time Grammy-nominated Rod Gilfry (South Pacific National Tour), and The Washington Chorus to sing the music of Rodgers & Hammerstein--including classic hits such as "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," "There is Nothing Like a Dame," "Surrey With the Fringe on Top," "You'll Never Walk Alone," "Shall We Dance?," and many more.
