JUST ANNOUNCED! Stephen Schwartz--the Broadway wizard himself--will make a special guest appearance at these concerts, playing the piano and sharing stories about the writing of Wicked!

Wicked, that other story of Oz, has been "popular" now on Broadway and on tour for 10 years. To what bit of magic do we owe this impressive run? None other than the musical wizardry of legendary songwriter Stephen Schwartz. In honor of his 65th birthday, we're celebrating the man who brought us the Broadway hits Godspell and Pippin and composed scores for major films such as Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame with a concert of his best-loved tunes, conducted by Steven Reineke and featuring former Wicked Broadway vocalists Jennifer Laura Thompson (Glinda) and Julia Murney (Elphaba) as well as Broadway actors Jeremy Jordan (Newsies) and Norm Lewis (The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess) and The Washington Chorus. If you love the bewitching music of Wicked, you'll be defying gravity and floating on air for this rare treat!
