Steven Reineke, conductor
With their epic masterpiece Les Misérables, the Tony Award–winning creative team of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg changed the face of musical theater. More than 25 years later, this soaring concert experience celebrates their musical genius with songs from Les Misérables and their other Broadway hits--Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre, The Pirate Queen, and La Révolution Française--plus a few special surprises. Tony Award winner Lea Salonga--who portrayed the original Kim in Miss Saigon and both Eponine and Fantine in Les Misérables--leads a talented cast of vocalists in what Broadway World calls "an unexpectedly moving tribute to the universal appeal of [Boublil & Schönberg's] collaborations... Lea Salonga is flawless; the clarity of her voice is astounding."
Performance Timing: Approximately 2 hours, including one 15-minute intermission.
David and Alice Rubenstein are the Presenting Underwriters of the NSO.
