In London, he led a world-renowned orchestra to artistic triumph. In Italy, his innovative vision propelled a centuries-old theater into a new era. So it's no surprise that all of Washington has been abuzz since the NSO announced Gianandrea Noseda as its next Music Director, beginning with the 2017–2018 season. In this program, the internationally revered conductor joins the NSO for the first time since his new leadership role was announced, bringing an authentic spirit to a classic tale of a love fated by the stars. 

These performances of Prokofiev's complete ballet score Romeo and Juliet--a musical dreamscape filled with romance, passion, and betrayal--also include on-screen visual projections that evoke the most iconic moments of this unforgettable story.


Performance Timing: Two hours, including one 15-minute intermission.

PLEASE NOTE: There is NO late seating for this performance. Please plan to arrive with sufficient time to be seated before the performance begins.
