Halloween Extravaganza
Stuart Chafetz, conductor

Don your favorite costumes and join Cirque de la Symphonie for tons of spooky fun with their trademark fusion of sensational acrobatics and powerful music! Presenting Halloween-themed thrills and awe-inspiring feats, this high-flying group continues to wow NSO Pops audiences with jugglers, aerialists, contortionists, strongmen, and more, bringing the music of the symphony to life in unique and delightful ways. Experience spine-tingling classics like never before, from Saint-Saëns's Danse macabre and Dukas's The Sorcerer's Apprentice to Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King" and Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor. Most enjoyed by age 5 and up.

Come early for a Musical Instrument "Petting Zoo"
Starting at 12:30 p.m. before the Sunday performance, hands-on activities let children get up close with the instruments they'll see played on the stage--from violins and trumpets to oboes and flutes. And on the Sunday matinee only, enjoy special trick-or-treating in our "Haunted Hall" before the concert!

The Sunday performance is sensory friendly
Sensory-friendly performances are designed to create a performing arts experience that is welcoming to all families, including those with children with autism or other sensory sensitivities. If you order these performances and do not require these Accessibility accommodations, your family is still very much welcome to attend.

Performance timing: Approximately 2 hours, including one 15-minute intermission.
