DECLASSIFIED is part concert and part party, where you can experience the NSO in a more casual setting. Join new Music Director Gianandrea Noseda, violinist James Ehnes, and the NSO to explore fascinating music created and influenced by J.S. Bach.

DECLASSIFIED is part concert and part party, where you can experience the National Symphony Orchestra in a more casual setting! Enjoy boundary-breaking music, dynamic multimedia, audience interaction, and pre/post-show activities, with special drinks purchased at the Intermission Bars allowed in the Concert Hall.

In this concert, new Music Director Gianandrea Noseda, acclaimed violinist James Ehnes, and the NSO explore fascinating music created AND influenced by legendary composer Johann Sebastian Bach. Selections will range from music originally composed by Bach, to Bach-inspired arrangements and other works by Berio, Respighi, Marcello, Berg, and Brahms.


Free pre-show at 8 p.m.:
Bach on Brass, a quintet of NSO musicians on the Millennium Stage outside the Concert Hall in the Grand Foyer

Concert Hall performance at 9 p.m. - Gianandrea Noseda, the NSO, and James Ehnes

Performance timing: approximately 90 minutes, with no intermission
