Tickets are not required, but because this event involves physical activity, all participants must sign a waiver prior to participating. Participants may sign a waiver electronically using the link below or in person at the time of the workshop, but spaces are first come, first served, with priority granted to those who have signed a waiver in advance online. Advanced registration has now closed.

Play is what children do most instinctively! Inspired by Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman’s approach to building musicianship through the integration of music, movement, speech, and drama, we welcome you to spend 45 minutes exploring imitation, experimentation, personal expression, and playing in a percussion ensemble.

Sitar Arts Center offers afterschool, Saturday and summer arts education programs in the visual arts, music, drama, dance, digital arts and creative writing.
Sitar provides a safe haven to more than 800 students a year, 80 percent of whom come from low-income households, teaching important life skills and fostering personal and artistic growth in D.C.’s youth
