About

Following her WNO debut as Madame Lidoine in Dialogues of the Carmelites, rising star soprano Leah Crocetto returns to the Kennedy Center for an intimate evening of stories and song.

From her recent acclaimed turns as Desdemona in Otello at English National Opera and as Mimì in La bohème with San Francisco Opera--and with a Metropolitan Opera debut as Liù in Turandot coming in the 2015-2016 season--Leah Crocetto "has revealed herself as a major operatic star… [with] a flood of gorgeous, well-supported sound shaped into majestic and seemingly effortless phrases" (The San Francisco Chronicle).

Together with piano accompaniment by Mark Markham, Crocetto performs a program ranging from art songs to opera arias to popular classics.
