Join noted dance revolutionary Anna Halprin as she shares her approach to dance as a healing art form. As a result of her experience as a cancer survivor, Halprin developed a process called PsychoKinetic Visualization which integrated movement, emotions and imagery to revitalize a person's physical, emotional, mental and spiritual self. The lecture/demonstration will include an interactive portion where audience members can experience the process of PsychoKinetic Visualization.
Anna Halprin and Eeo Stubblefield have been collaborating on Still Dance for five years. These photographs were taken on the northern coast of California, where Anna lives, and in the Catskill Mountains of New York, where Eeo lives. Each photograph represents one in a series of dances made from the elements-- wind, sand, water, rock, meadow...

October 16th & 17th open to Kennedy Center tour groups and from 7:00pm - 9:30pm for patrons with tickets for that evenings's performance of 'Anna Halprin/Eiko & Koma' in the Terrace Theatre.
