Join Irwin Shainman, professor emeritus of music at Williams College, MA, as he tunes your ears and acquaints your mind to some of history's great symphonic works. This series will survey European composers who settled in America for various reasons. Some welcomed, some rejected, YOU will explore the works of musical masters like Bartok, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, and Stravinsky.
