Back by Popular Demand! Join Irwin Shainman, professor emeritus of music at Williams College, as he tunes your ears and acquaints your mind with some of musical history’s greatest influences. This series focuses on the 18th and 19th century classical era in Vienna— its wonderful music, composers, and wide-ranging influence throughout the world. You will study the works of musicians including Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Schoenberg, Berg, and Webern.
