Georges Bizet's Carmen
Libretto by Henri Meilhac & Ludovic Halévy

Bizet's indelible portrait of the fiery gypsy temptress Carmen is brought to the stage with flamenco-inspired, unforgettable music.  Acclaimed mezzo-soprano and DC native Denyce Graves is identified with the role of Carmen throughout the world.  Maestro Julius Rudel conducts.

Performed in French with English supertitles.
NOTE: Supertitles are not visible from the rear orchestra.
Performance Timing: Act I - 46 min.; Intermission - 20 min.; Act II - 42 min.; Intermission - 20 min.;
                                       Act III - 37 min.; Pause - 2 min.; Act IV - 19 min.
