The Passion of Leonard Bernstein

Vocal Arts DC presents the popular New York Festival of Song in a concert program representing the full gamut of the composer's genius in writing for the human voice. Performed and narrated by pianists (and Bernstein protégés) Steven Blier and Michael Barrett; with soprano Chelsea Shephard; mezzo-sopranos Lucia Bradford and Annie Rosen; tenor Miles Mykkanen; baritone Justin Austin; bass-baritone Adrian Rosas; with percussionists Barry Centanni and Taylor Goodson. The program features selections from concert works (MASS, Arias & Barcarolles, and Songfest) and musical theater (On the Town, West Side Story, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue).
