New Zealand native Benjamin Baker came to London with his family at the age of 8 to attend the Menuhin School and later the Royal College of Music, where, upon receiving his Master's, he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Rose Bowl Prize. Playing a historic Tononi violin dated 1709, Baker has appeared as soloist with the Royal Philharmonic, the English Chamber Orchestra, and the Philharmonia, and in many European chamber music festivals. He is on the roster of YCA's sister organization, Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) of London.
