Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella" will enchant the Opera House in December 2001-January 2002.
Several generations have fallen under the spell of "Cinderella," first shown on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, re-made with Leslie Ann Warren in 1965, and most recently seen on "The Wonderful World of Disney" with Brandy and Whitney Houston in 1997. Now, this classic comes to life in a spectacular new Gabriel Barre directed production starring Eartha Kitt as the Fairy Godmother, and Paolo Montalban as The Prince - a role he played in the 1997 television version.
