Pulse-quickening production numbers…timeless songs.
Director Nunn and choreographer Bourne have handled My Fair Lady with all the special care and refinement it deserves…fresh evidence of how perfectly Lerner and Loewe wrapped a passel of melodies around the imagination of George Bernard Shaw.
- Peter Marks, The Washington Post (12/31/07)
A "loverly" reminder of how sublime melody and indelible characters can transport you to a realm of romantic fantasy.
- Jayne Blanchard, The Washington Times (1/4/08)
"HATS OFF TO A LADY!
Blissfully staged, deliriously danced…this revival is a visual dazzler!
Nunn's show looks modern but feels reverent from the moment we catch Eliza Doolittle sitting alone in a fetching, iconic silhouette.
TRADITIONAL YET UTTERLY FRESH…Fans of old-fashioned musical comedy won't want to miss it!"
- Nelson Pressley, The Baltimore Sun (11/8/07)
