Washington Performing Arts Orchestra Series
Montreal Orchestra
Kent Nagano, conductor
Daniil Trifonov, piano

After a 30-year hiatus, the Montreal Symphony returns to Washington, D.C., with its Grammy Award-winning music director Kent Nagano. This season, Nagano and the orchestra present Stravinsky's Rite of Spring in a program that promises to be "nothing short of magnificent" (The Globe and Mail). Chopin Piano Competition-winner Daniil Trifonov also returns to D.C. to showcase "playing that can only be described as a visceral experience...a knockout" (The Washington Post) in Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3.
