As part of their first tour in North America, Beijing's China National Centre for the Performing Arts Orchestra makes its Kennedy Center debut with star pianist Yuja Wang, who brings her "practically superhuman keyboard technique" (San Francisco Chronicle) to Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major. The program, led by chief conductor Lü Jia, also includes Chen Qigang's Wu Xing (The Five Elements) Suite for Orchestra and Dvorák's Symphony No. 8.
