2017 Serenade! Washington D.C. Choral Festival
Wednesday, June 28 - Monday, July 3, 2017

In collaboration with the Kennedy Center, Classical Movements announces a joint partnership to mark the centennial of President Kennedy’s birth with a grand choral celebration of Kennedy’s legacy by inviting choirs from countries that have benefited from the work of the Peace Corps, as well as select choirs from the U.S. and abroad. As part of the Kennedy Center's Centennial Celebration of its namesake, the choirs will offer songs and newly commissioned premieres that highlight the ideal of Service, one of five ideals often ascribed to President Kennedy: Courage, Freedom, Justice, Service, and Gratitude. Continuing the theme of Service through the Peace Corps, all choirs will participate in local service projects in the Washington, D.C., area.

All performances are free. Five concerts will take place on the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, no reservations required. The sixth Grand Finale Concert will take place in the Concert Hall; see note about free ticket distribution below. The schedule of participating ensembles, subject to change, is as follows:
