The award-winning orchestra conducted by Maestro José Antonio Méndez Padrón performs music by Cuban-born composers, to include contemporary works by Leo Brouwer featuring pianist Ulises Hernández and guitarist Alí Arango in his U.S. debut.

Cuba’s multi-Cubadisco Award–winning Havana Lyceum Orchestra, led by composer and pianist Ulises Hernández and directed by Maestro José Antonio Méndez Padrón, will perform music by Cuban-born composers. Two works by well-known contemporary composer, conductor, and musician Leo Brouwer will be featured: "Bocetos para Piano” featuring pianist Ulises Hernández, and Concierto Elegíaco for guitar and orchestra featuring guitarist Alí Arango in his U.S. debut. Other Cuban composers highlighted on the program will be Gisela Hernández, Carlos Fariñas, Guido López-Gavilán, Fabio Landa, and Moises Simons.
