Adam Cooper, former principal dancer with London's Royal Ballet, is revisiting
his roots. For the anniversary of Sir Kenneth MacMillan's death, Cooper has
assembled a company of dancers to recognize the success that MacMillan achieved
as student, dancer, choreographer, and Artistic Director in the Royal Ballet
community he joined in 1946. Over 45 years later, Cooper found great strength
in MacMillan's dramatic energy and through this revival is bringing Sea of
Troubles, a beloved piece back to life. With dancers from the English National
Ballet, Cooper will give life to this Hamlet-esque drama on familial relationships
and the troubles that besiege them.
