About the Program

Saxophonist Benny Reid is making his mark with his buttery sound, flavored with old-time grit. An alum of the Kennedy Center's residency program Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead, he has revealed himself as a talented and mature young artist. On his Concord debut Findings, Reid embarks on an ambitious journey, traveling through fluid melodies with remarkable depth and emotion. All About Jazz calls it an "impressive debut, complete with very strong self-penned compositions which spotlight his chops."
