Within months of its inception, the Escher String Quartet was invited by Pinchas Zukerman and Itzhak Perlman to be the quartet-in-residence at each artist's summer festival. The quartet's "sound is golden-ripe, and its performance was technically almost infallible" (San Jose Mercury News).
