"Mansour's drive and enthusiasm, her unyielding energy, are infectious"
--Al-Ahram
Egyptian dancer and choreographer Karima Mansour makes her North American debut with Temporament, a duet with percussionist Ahmad Compaoré that shows a woman struggling to escape traditional forms of behavior. The work won first prize at the 2004 Egypt-France Dance Festival. A graduate of the London School of Contemporary Dance and the Cinema Institute in Cairo, Mansour founded her company MA'AT for the Contemporary Dance in 1999 as the first independent contemporary dance company based in Cairo.
