Nora Amin  
Currently Nora is the General Coordinator of the first "center of theater in conflict zones", a 3 year project in Sudan, created by the International Theatre Institute, whose aim is to use the performing arts for post civil war peace building, reconciliation and development. The project involves several theatre masters as artistic leaders and trainers for theater groups in Sudan, and for deprived and victimized groups. The result is a permanent center that will later support other conflict zones outside of Sudan, and attract cultural operators, artists and researchers, as a reference and as a meeting point. Nora joined the fellowship program from Cairo, Egypt, where she is founder of the first independent international arts festival focusing on theater and dance entitled "JADAYEL: Sheharazade Now." She also founded an independent theater group, LaMusica, focusing on new forms of theater expression. As an actress, producer, writer and theater director, her play, "The Bermuda Triangle" was presented as a showcase production in the US making her the only Egyptian woman to have a play staged in an American theater. She has lectured on Egyptian theater and contemporary politics at the American Studies Association, the University of Massachusetts, and Smith College. Nora received a degree in French Language and Literature from Cairo University.

Sarah Bardwell  
Since completing the fellowship Sarah has become the Director of the Handel House Museum in London, the restored Georgian house where Handel lived and composed for 36 years until his death in 1759. Previously, Sarah was the Head of Individual Giving at the Royal Albert Hall having held a similar position at English National Opera. Sarah studied oboe performance as a postgraduate at Trinity College of Music, London and is a graduate in music from Durham University, England.

Thomas Cirillo  
Upon the completion of his fellowship year, Tom Cirillo assumed the position of Executive Director at Portland Baroque Orchestra (Oregon), which is currently in its 21 st season and the tenth under the artistic direction of violinist Monica Huggett. For the ten years prior to the Fellowship, Tom's professional work focused on the production of operas and concerts for international festivals and repertory companies. He was Company Manager of Ireland's Wexford Festival Opera, and Director of the Rehearsal Department for The Santa Fe Opera. Previously he was Rehearsal Administrator of the Metropolitan Opera, an artist manager in Bologna, Italy, John O. Crosby's assistant at Santa Fe, and an intern under Goetz Friedrich at Deutsche Oper Berlin. A graduate of Amherst College in economics and German literature, Tom also studied musicology at the graduate level at the Freie Universitdt Berlin. He is a dual-national of the U.S.A. and Republic of Italy.

Anna Glass  
Anna has been involved in the performing arts as both an artist and arts administrator for over ten years. After completing the fellowship program, Anna joined 651 ARTS - a presenting and producing arts organization based in Brooklyn, NY, where she serves as Managing Director for the organization. Previously, Anna served as Artist Representative/Managing Producer for the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company (DCDC). While working for DCDC, she was responsible for booking and producing DCDC's major projects including their widely regarded Flight Project featuring works by Bill T. Jones and Bebe Miller. Anna is a graduate of Oberlin College, studied at the University of Strasbourg in France, and received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law.

Meg Kowalski  
Meg is the Marketing Manager at the Kennedy Center. Prior to her fellowship year, she was the General/Company Manager for Twyla Tharp Dance. She also worked as Associate in the Dance Division of IMG Artists providing services for professional dance companies including Miami City Ballet and Pilobolus. In the past, Meg served as Company Manager for White Oak Dance Project, Mikhail Baryshnikov's modern dance company, and North Carolina Dance Theatre. She earned a B.F.A .in photography from the University of Notre Dame, and has participated in various photography exhibits and commissions.

James P. Martinez  
James is the Program Manager for the International Programming Department at the Kennedy Center. Previously, he served as Development Officer at The Alameda National Center for Latino Arts and Culture in San Antonio, Texas. As Development Officer, James was instrumental in securing public and private funds towards the development of the Smithsonian Affiliate, Museo Americano and the renovation of the historic Alameda Theater, raising a total of approximately $2.34 million dollars in funds from foundation grants, private gifts, and corporate contributions in a little over a year. Previously he worked with the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as the Director of Events for their more than 1,600 members. James has a deep passion for the arts with an emphasis on drawing, painting, and sculpture and has also worked as a professional guitarist in the San Antonio area. James is actively engaged in both the business and arts communities in San Antonio, serving as a volunteer on various boards and commissions. James attended the University of Phoenix and San Antonio College.

Lisa Richards  
After completing the fellowship program, Lisa became Executive Director of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy in Culver City, CA. Previously, she was Director of Literature to Life ™, a Washington, D.C. arts education satellite office for The American Place Theatre (NY). She was also the director of arts education for The American Place Theatre's New York office and was an arts education consultant for several New York theaters including the Melting Pot Theatre and Primary Stages Theatre Company. Additionally, she is a performing artist and director with The University of Michigan's Center for World Performance Studies, where she toured to Istanbul, Turkey; Santa Barbara, California; and Ann Arbor and Dearborn, Michigan. Lisa currently serves on several boards and committees in Washington and Michigan. Lisa trained in theater, dance, and arts administration with various organizations including Arena Stage (DC), the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center (NY), and The DC Youth Ensemble (DC). She was awarded the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship to conduct research in Black Dance in London, UK. She received her M.A. in Educational Theatre from New York University and her B.A. in English and Drama as a Presidential Scholar of Spelman College.

Omar Rodarte  
Omar came to the Kennedy Center from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) where he was the Social and Cultural International Programs Coordinator. He served as Marketing Director for El Paso Opera, Finance Chair of the Board for the El Paso Chorale, and worked with the International Zarzuela Festival and UTEP's Departments of Theatre and Music in various administrative and artistic capacities. With a summa cum laude undergraduate degree in accounting, Omar worked for Coopers and Lybrand, L.L.P. An opera enthusiast, Omar is currently completing a Master's Degree in Art from UTEP.

Paul Tam  
Prior to joining the Fellowship Program, Paul was the Assistant General Manager (Concerts Marketing and Public Relations) of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HKPO). During his 6-year tenure, Paul helped promote HKPO on its tours to Mainland China, Singapore, United Kingdom, Ireland and France as well as its critically acclaimed recordings of works by Weill, Stravinsky, Busoni and Sheng. Passionate about bringing the joy of music to youths and the community in general, Paul formulated and implemented many of HKPO's music education and outreach programs. He was also invited to speak on various topics such as arts and media, project management and audience development. A non-practicing pianist, Paul received an M.B.A., as well as an undergraduate degree in piano performance from York University, Canada.

Jay Wegman  
Jay administered the arts programs at New York City's Cathedral of St. John the Divine for nine years. As the Cathedral's first Canon for Liturgy and the Arts, he shaped St. John the Divine's artistic mission and was responsible for an annual array of productions, cultural celebrations, liturgical events, and visual art exhibits. Prior to the Cathedral, he worked with Richard Frankel Productions and Arts at St. Ann's in Brooklyn. An Episcopal priest, Jay has received degrees from Yale University, the General Theological Seminary, and the University of Minnesota.

Philip Wilder  
Philip is the Associate Director, Capital Campaign for the Harman Center for the Arts in Washington, DC. Philip came to the Kennedy Center from Chanticleer in San Francisco where he was Assistant Music Director and Director of Education. In collaboration with Chanticleer's Music Director Joseph Jennings, Philip developed concepts for the ensemble's touring programs and performed on 14 recordings for the Warner/Atlantic label - winning two Grammy® Awards and frequently reaching the Billboard Classical Chart's top 10. He has performed over 1,000 concerts worldwide, and fostered collaborations with countless artists including Frederica Von Stade and Dawn Upshaw. As Director of Education, Philip developed and implemented programs for music students in San Francisco and across America, and founded Chanticleer's Youth Choral Festival - an annual event for Bay Area high school students. He is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music.

Austin Wrubel  
Austin Wrubel is the Development Officer at The Joyce Theater Foundation. He is currently working in the areas of corporate sponsorship, major donors, the endowment campaign and assisting with the planning and implementation of funding for the The Joyce's new theater to be built at The World Trade Center site and scheduled to open in 2009. Prior to the Fellowship, Austin worked as Senior Public Relations Associate/Booking Associate with Kirshbaum Demler & Associates handling such artists as Peter Serkin, Heidi Grant Murphy and Pinchas Zukerman. He also served as Executive Assistant to the Executive/Artistic Director at Carnegie Hall. Previously he was an associate in the Vocal Division at IMG Artists where he managed world renowned artists for orchestral, operatic and recital engagements. Austin received a Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law and a Masters of Law from King's College, University of London with a degree in International and European Law. His Bachelor of Arts studies took place at Connecticut College.
