What is National Partnerships?
Mandated to provide services and resources both locally and nationally, Education at the Kennedy Center serves the nation through a variety of partnership programs and networks. These national partnerships provide a mechanism for the Kennedy Center to share nationally resources and programs that have been developed at the Kennedy Center and field-tested in the local community. In addition, national partners share with the Kennedy Center and other Education at the Kennedy Center partnership networks best practices that have been developed at their local sites, providing a two-way sharing of resources and programs that informs the arts education field.
National Partnerships programs collect the latest news on arts education policy, research, resources, and innovations. Acting as a national clearinghouse, the program shares this information nationally through e-mail, newsletters, social networking, written catalogues, and other resources. Similarly, staff makes regular presentations at national and regional arts education conferences, sharing information gathered about current issues, best practices, and Kennedy Center resources.
National Partnerships provide leadership and professional learning through conferences, educational seminars, and online opportunities.
