Touring Programs & Resources
As America's national center for the performing arts, and as a leader in the development of arts education policy and programming, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is committed to developing educational resources and programs to share with arts organizations and schools across the country.
Responding to requests from the Partners in Education partnership teams for expanded resources, the Kennedy Center offers a variety of programming opportunities available for tour:
- a selection of professional development opportunities for teachers featuring exemplary workshops developed through the Kennedy Center’s ongoing program;
- three two-day training seminars for artists:
- Artists as Educators: Designing Effective Arts-Integrated Residencies for Students (pdf),
- Artists as Educators: Planning Effective Workshops for Teachers (pdf), and
- Artists as Educators: Presenting Effective Workshops for Teachers (pdf);
- a two-day seminar for managers of performance materials (pdf), Giving Cues: Developing Performance Materials for Young People;
- speakers who can address issues in arts education for large conferences or intimate meetings;
- workshops for parents and community members;
- productions for young people and families; and
- other education programs
