The Kennedy Center Ballet Class Series

The Kennedy Center Ballet Class Series offers advanced high school ballet students the unique opportunity to participate in master classes presented by teachers from nationally and internationally recognized ballet companies performing this season at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Admission to the Kennedy Center Ballet Class Series is by audition only. Finalists attend all classes; alternates are guaranteed attendance in at least four of the seven ballet classes. Students also have the opportunity to attend working rehearsals for performances by select ballet companies at the Kennedy Center.

At the conclusion of the series, all students are invited to a class and discussion session with renowned ballerina and Balanchine protégée Suzanne Farrell, artistic director of the Suzanne Farrell Ballet. To participate in this program, submit an application, postmarked no later than September 12, 2008 for the audition on Sunday, September 21, 2008.

Students will be notified of audition results no later than
October 6, 2008.
