About
American Ballet Theatre
Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie
In addition to a program of repertory, the company will dance the spectacular "Le Corsaire." This production was a smash hit in New York, lauded by Anna Kisselgoff of the New York Times for its "spectacular staging" and energetic fun. Male athleticism, brilliant choreography, and a famous pas de deux highlight this passionate tale of piracy, a shipwreck, lost love, and the mysteries of the Orient. Wonderful dance scenes allow many principal dancers to shine--making this the perfect ballet for this talent-laden company. It's a charming full-length ballet made famous. Plus, they bring a second program of favorite repertory works.
Program
