About
Last seen at the Kenendy Center in July of 1979, this astounding company from Havana returns with two-full length ballets that show off the classical style that Ms. Alonso has instilled in generations of dancers. They will peform Alonso's vivid staging of "Coppelia," one of story ballet's most humorous - the story of two young lovers and the toy maker whose lifelike doll nearly destorys their relationship. Plus, the company will perform Alonso's definitive staging of "Giselle" - the classic ballet tale of the peasant girl who loves to dance and loves a village boy, who dies of a broken heart when she discovers that he is the already betrothed Count Albrecht.
