Kosung Okwangdae is the foremost masked dance troupe in South Korea. The masked dance traditions of Korea feature beautiful and elaborate costumes with flowing silks, fans and colorful robes. The music is highly rhythmic and exciting featuring drummers, gong players and a double-reed wind instrument. This high-energy show features acrobatic dance with serene and contemplative Buddhist posturing. This is a rare opportunity to see masked dance performances outside of Korea.
