Alongside Mary Lou Williams, Marian McPartland established herself as a leading musician in the male-dominated jazz world. In this film, McPartland tells her story through interviews and her own musical compositions and performances, including a special moment with the late Dr. Billy Taylor. Join Explore the Arts for a look at the life and career of the musician, composer, and host of National Public Radio's Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz. A discussion with filmmaker Huey follows the screening.
